Signature Experience

Learning Design

Our Pumas explore their interests, talents, purpose and the relationship between responsibility and freedom. Socratic discussions and self-paced challenges prepare them to be lifelong, independent learners. Hands-on, practical quests using science, technology, engineering, arts and math prepare them for real-world practices and challenges. The path to purpose, the rules of relationships, and real-world consequences transform difficult decisions into habits.

Learning Challenges

For Core Skills, learners:

  • move at their own pace using adaptive, game-based software for math and other hard skills,

  • choose which books to read and review, and

  • learn to speak, think, and write with game-based recipes for key communication skills.

In Quests, Civilization, Art, and Physical Development integrative, hands-on challenges supercharged by the Hero’s Journey narrative deliver real-world concepts and skills.

Learning to Be Badges offer practice with the collaborative skills learners need to self-manage and self-govern.

Socratic Discussions sharpen critical thinking skills and allow learners to add new tools and systems like Hero Bucks or Town Hall to strengthen the tribe.
